in search of the missing event
An event in the general sense is a
situation that is characterized by dynamism or change. The opposite of an
event is a "state": a situation without change or dynamism. But there exists
also a moment of silence, of resistance, resiliance.
From there comes the desire for a
good life (as a very privat ecology).
A good life is made up of many
needs, reasons, arguments and visions. But can we really only keep awake a
breeze of the idea of a good and right life? Thoughts on the impossibility
of leading a proper life under the given circumstances in post-liberal
capitalism and the coming fascism. Where do I live? Where do I settle? There
is a global threat to our collective conditions of existence. There are yet
no general tools or techniques yet, but to adress these problems we have to
build a common ground first hand, we have to understand that we have to work
on the "we".

It is still a major challenge for the eastern German states because
demographic change coincides with the structural upheavals of 1989. Here, too,
society is aging with a declining population and the question of prosperity and
intergenerational justice is visible as all areas of society and daily life are
affected. Demographic change is not only having a negative
impact, however, but is offering younger and well-qualified people in particular
better prospects than ever before: Very good opportunities are available for
well-trained specialists, university graduates and for young people who want to
start their vocational training and then stay in their home region.
