Nr. 1: The resignation

This constant resignation before the world demands, if we look more closely, a new concept of reason.

Resignation (from Latin resignare to lower the signum, to capitulate; to withdraw one's signature, to revoke) has been used since about the middle of the 19th century to describe the human attitude or mood of surrendering to an inescapable situation, e.g. due to (perceived) hopelessness.

The rural regions have come to stand empty, one had the impression. This was also due to the fact that for a long time the cities claimed all the attention for themselves through dazzling gestures. But while everyone was fixated on the urban spectacle, the villagers succeeded in what the city did not: Identity building - sounds like home and folkore, but the abandoned ruins of old times have potential, because in their crumbling walls history can be experienced.

The morbid charm mobilizes visions. It´s a mixture of melancholy and the desire for authenticity. And it is the desire for self-sufficiency, for independence, for self-determination, for quality of life that brings people back.

Nr. 2: Our transferences are based on wrong principles

If the new is not new, but only a state of variation, then modernity remains unfinished - as an empty reality. The empty reality of our present. It is not the idea itself or the theory of a concept that is losing its credibility,
but it is the increasingly visible structures and mechanisms that are trying with all their might to impose this idea or this theory as the only true and correct one.

You can call me an multilocalist. And I am not the only one. A trip to the Prignitz - that can also be a journey through time. Here you can still find evidence of everyday life in the GDR, of political change and of the former border. The GDR's western state border was better secured than almost any border in the world. Migration in Prignitz always remains an issue. Right now, the city dwellers are coming (back) to the countryside.

The interests of power put themselves like a second skin over the attempts to explain the world. Each attempt of explanation turns out to be a tool of legitimation. The category "new" is therefore an instrument of progress rather than a property of matter. There is already a separation between function and aesthetics

Why not break into areas that elude economization as much as possible? Somehow it's about returning to the wilderness, about concentrating on the essentials. To get out of the surfeit, out of the saturated prosperity in the West. The world provides us with everything we materially desire; and yet we look for sanctuaries, for refuges, for escapes that leave us our space. It is the flight of the capitalist into the silence.
